Community Food Smart


 Community Food Smart is a bulk food buying club for individuals and families keen on purchasing quality fruits and vegetables at affordable prices, sourced from local farmers when possible.

Members can place an order once a month for up to two produce bags, Buying in bulk directly from wholesalers and farmers assures the best prices for the freshest produce.

How do I join?

Bags are brimming with produce carefully selected to ensure freshness, affordability and variety. We consider everything from what's in season, what's available at a fair price and what's available from local farmers. 

Standard items may include:

Bananas
Potatoes
Onions
Carrots

How do I order a produce bag?

Becoming a Volunteer

Volunteers ensure that this bulk food discount buying club is a success, offering enthusiasm, hard work and energy. Volunteers help sort the food, pack the bags, and deliver the produce to Distributors in a timely manner to ensure optimum freshness.

And with the work, comes the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and contribute to your community in a way that is fun and rewarding.  

If you are interested in volunteering for the Oromocto Food Bank please stop in and fill out and application form.
Each fresh produce bag is $15. Pay for your produce bag three different ways:
1) Visit the Oromoct Food Bank to pay for your produce bag with cash, credit, or debit.

2) Etransfer $15 to ofb@nb.aibn.com.

3) Pay $15 with PayPal.
